Status Report: FSUK 2024: THE BEGINNING

Following our most successful Formula Student season to date which saw the team placing 7th out of 63 teams, UoL Racing has been hard at work preparing for the upcoming season. Over the summer, in the team debrief we discussed what went well and what could have been improved throughout the year and at competition – this feedback has been documented and will be implemented in this new season.

UoL Racing, remains committed to ensuring the team is diverse in knowledge and background. We are also committed to providing our team members with the necessary resources they need regardless of skill level to progress their skills during their time on the team. A breakdown of the FSUK 2023-24 team can be seen below with the team currently standing at around 100 members.

Another key aspect in our success last year was the targets we outlined at the beginning of the season. These technical and team targets are crucial to ensuring the team stays on track and help drive the design ideology. The targets for FSUK 2024 are outlined below.

We would like to thank all our sponsors again for their support last season, without which the success of LR02 would have not been possible. We are proud to announce that we will once again be partnering with Caterpillar for the upcoming season! Caterpillar supported the team through the manufacture of parts, design reviews and presentation feedback and we look forward to working with them again this season.

We also are excited to announce a new sponsor for the 2024 season – KRAM Sheet Metals! Based in West Midlands, KRAM are specialists in quick, low volume sheet metal manufacture. They will be supporting the team this season by allowing us access to their manufacturing facilities and supporting us with the procurement of materials.
